小编: 10572013.9.12雅思考试A类大范文题目: Throughout history, people have dreamed of living in a perfect society, but they have not agreed on what an ideal society would be like. What do you think is the most important element of a perfect society in modern world? How can people work towards achieving an ideal society?
范文:
Though idealistic and mythical, the concept of “a perfect society” has always beencelebrated: Utopia, Shangri-La, and Never-never Land are appealing. To achieve social perfection, economic success, social security, and free education all seem relevant, but this article believes that the communication of information is the ultimate and most effective measure, especially in the context of modernity.
Information exchange benefits economy and shrinks wealth gap. A flawless world at least should bring out a prosperous economy and fair distribution of wealth. Initially and fundamentally, the possession of information, be it business forecasts or political situations, will likely lead to success at every level in economy. Moreover, the exchange of information and knowledge will better literacy and career chances, which over time evens out distribution of wealth. Such IT giants as Microsoft and Facebook are evident examples.
Socially, information communication promotes justice. To achieve social perfection, justice ispivotal, and in this respect information exchange is invariably contributing. When information is circulating freely, digitally or in print, background information of events in question is provided. Accordingly, public attention will be better directed, resulting in the disclosure of truth, the service of justice, and punishment of the guilty as in the Watergate Scandal, 1972-1974.
To found a better world with information exchange, people need to be united and selfless. First, the advent of modern communication methods, the Internet for example, helps gather and amplify public opinions. Moreover, individual interest might be at stake for public good. It is not hard to imagine that the journalists in Watergate Scandal had gone through tremendous pressure and difficulty to cover the whole incident despite the freedom of press advertised by the US constitution.
In sum, information dissemination leads to personal development, economic growth, and social justice, in which process, people need to work in unison and sometimes forsake personal interest.
